Looking Ahead

As we approach the end of 2023, I wanted to take this opportunity to pause and reflect on the incredible milestones we’ve achieved this year and to express my gratitude for the commitment and support of our donors. Thanks to their generosity, we were able to make an even greater impact.

Callisto reached one of our biggest goals yet this year. On October 16, 2023, we were able to expand access to our innovative, encrypted platform, Callisto Vault, to anyone in the US and its territories with a .edu address. Within a week of launch, not only did we see a dramatic increase in users all across the country, but we were also able to connect survivors on opposite coasts. This alone proves the importance of the expanded, nationwide access.

Our early results have exceeded our expectations. We saw a 32% increase in accounts in the first several weeks, and survivors from 91 new schools have created accounts.

However, our work is far from over. The early results of our expansion highlights the need for our tools. We must continue to expand and scale quickly, and offer access to our encrypted platform to every survivor. We cannot do this without you.

As we prepare for 2024, we already know we have our next pressing goal to reach: make sure at least one person in every friend group knows about Callisto. Our tool is only as powerful as the number of survivors who are aware of it, so we need more people to share our mission with others. An easy way to do this is to follow our journey on social media and share posts if and when you feel ready.

Additionally, we know that sexual assault is not limited to academia. We have had an overwhelming demand to expand access beyond college campuses. Serial sexual assault is a pervasive problem within the military, entertainment, hospitality and every industry in between. We are diligently working towards this goal and can’t do it without your support. How quickly we can expand is dependent upon the generosity of donors.

Every donation, every hour volunteered, and every voice raised in support has contributed to the positive impact we’ve witnessed. Your belief in our mission fuels our determination to change how survivors - how the world - responds to sexual assault and gender-based violence.

I am so thankful that you are here with us. You have my deepest gratitude for standing with us throughout this incredible journey. Your support is not just a donation; it’s a catalyst for change and healing.

Wishing you a happy new year!
