How Callisto Works
Callisto is an online sexual assault reporting system designed to create a more empowering reporting experience for survivors. It has shown to improve reporting and outcomes for student survivors of sexual assault. It provides three options:
Record
Save time-stamped records of an assault
Because:
Survivors wait an average of 11 months to report their assault to authorities
Report
Report electronically to campus authorities
Because:
Less than 10% of survivors will ever report their assault
Match
Report only if another survivor names the same perpetrator
Because:
Up to 90% of assaults are committed by repeat perpetrators
Callisto provides survivors with a confidential and secure way to create a time-stamped record of an assault and report electronically to campus authorities. It gives survivors the option to report their perpetrator only if someone else names the same assailant. This matching system is the first of its kind, and it means that survivors who want to protect their community from repeat perpetrators can do so together.
